Jordan Hill is the son of Gotham City Mayor, Hamilton Hill. Jordan lives a mostly sheltered life as a result of his father's position. As time passed, Jordan began to resent his life and resorted to learning magic. During his birthday party, the hired magician was ambushed by the Joker, who was intent on killing the Mayor. However, Jordan ran away and snuck aboard Joker's stolen van. At first, Joker was furious but he saw Jordan as a pawn in his latest bid to kill Batman. Following a roller coaster standoff, Batman returned Jordan to his father and the two reconciled.
