Dr. March is a veteran zoologist in Gotham City. His associates at Gotham Zoo are none other than his daughter and son-in-law, the Langstrom's. Dr. March, unlike them, is very protective and thus, secretive about his research even to those who fund him like Bruce Wayne. Dr. March's reasons are fringe, almost insane. He believes bats will be the only creature to survive an evolutionary cataclysm and feverishly worked on Dr. Kirk Langstrom's Man Bat formula in preparation. However, when his daughter accidentally exposed herself to a working sample, Dr. March was jilted by Batman. Dr. March saw the error in his ways and destroyed his research notes.
