Dak is a pre-teen who decided to run away from home and school. He settled underground near abandoned subway stations and dreamed of becoming a crook. Following a cave-in, Dak happened upon Batman. The two fled but were trapped by Shriek. Batman discovered the tunnel lay near a river and opted to let Dak escape upward and get help. Instead, Dak was caught by Shriek and all seemed lost until Bruce Wayne intervened. Dak decided to abandon his romanticized villainy and headed back home.
