Joyce Carr is member of the Board of Directors of Wayne Enterprises. Carr previously met Wayne's assistant, Terry McGinnis. Years later, following Bruce Wayne's announcement to resume active leadership, a special ceremony was to be held at a newly constructed Wayne Enterprises complex, a state-of-the-art office and science center. Carr introduced Wayne at the start of the ceremony until the Joker and his Jokerz crashed it to steal a communications component.
