The Bertinelli's were once the most powerful crime family in the Gotham Mafioso. Together, Franco Bertinelli and his wife had a daughter, who they named Helena. However, one of Bertinelli's men was slowly becoming disgruntled with his line of work. Bertinelli discovered the plot minutes before it happened. He managed to hide Helena away in a closet. Helena watched as Steven Mandragora murdered her parents. She plotted her revenge and became the Huntress.
