B2K was founded and managed by the music producer Chris Stokes in 2001. It was a music group based in Los Angeles, California and sung in the style of Hip-Hop and R&B. The album debuted #2 at on the Billboard 200 and sold 109,000 copies in the first week. Their success could be attributed to teenage appeal. On December 10, 2002, B2K released their second album, Pandemonium!.

The band went on a total of three tours named Scream Tour I, II, and III. One concert was held in Dakota City, Michigan. Sharon Hawkins won two tickets but was unable to attend. She gave them to her younger brother, Virgil, who planned to take friend, Daisy Watkins. While B2K performed "Pretty Young Thing" off the Pandemonium album, Speedwarp appeared to Watkins but was defeated by Static. Watkins and Hawkins continued to watch the concert. B2K went on to feature in the movie, "You Got Served". Omarion left the group in 2004 to pursue a solo-career.
