Oceania is the prototype vision of Grant Walker's utopian future, an artificial floating island that houses a biodome teaming with state of the art technology and architecture. With his Project Deep Freeze, Walker would use a cannon to put Oceania into cryogenic stasis for five years, during which he believed society would destroy itself. After the 5 years, Oceania would unthaw and set out to rebuild a more peaceful and enlightened world. Walker felt he was the most eligible candidate to lead the people of Oceania and sought out Mr. Freeze to help him gain immortality.
Batman and Robin attempted to infiltrate Oceania but were caught by several M-9 robots. Batman convinced Freeze that Nora Fries, his wife, would never forgive him for being a part of Oceania. He then caused a main power core overload that destroyed Oceania. Luckily, no one was injured or killed in the aftermath.
