The LaffCo. Toy Factory is a Gotham City-based company located on 3rd and Main Street in the downtown area. One of their signature toys was the wind-up doll, Betty Blooper. In the 1980's, LaffCo. closed down and the factory was abandoned.
14 years later, the Joker occupied the LaffCo. Factory as his hideout during one Christmas holiday. He outfitted the factory with giant Nutcracker robots and airplanes in his likeness. With time running out, the Joker issued one last clue to Batman, a Betty Blooper gift to one of his hostages, Summer Gleeson.
