Goldhanger is a small town in Nevada. Most likely founded in the Gold Rush era, through the years, Goldhanger has retained its sleepy sensibility. However, in recent times, it was the site of a turning point in the relationship between the Justice League Unlimited and the federal government. The Dark Heart, an alien creation, landed in Goldhanger and began to assimilate its surroundings. The JLU arrived and worked in conjunction with General Eiling to neutralize the threat. Unable to, J'onn Jonzz activated and revealed the binary fusion cannon housed in the Watchtower. Eventually, the Atom managed to save the day. The government confiscated the remains and vacated Goldhanger.
