In honor of the Flash, Central City planned to open the Flash Museum on Flash Appreciation Day. Anchored by a giant statue of the hero, the Museum houses models of the Flash's Rogues Gallery, numerous objects from his exploits, and accounts of famous events. Some of the notables are a replica helmet of Jay Garrick, Flash's childhood comic book hero, a set of costumes, and a display depicting the Fastest Man Alive, a charity race that pit the Flash against Superman in the 1990's. Even one of Captain Boomerang's personal boomerangs is unassumingly used as a prop for a model replica.

On the day of the opening, the Flash would be onhand to sign autographs and mingle with fans. Mirror Master, Captain Boomerang, Captain Cold, and the Trickster vowed to get revenge on him. After failed one-on-one attempts on the Flash's life; Captain Cold suggested they jump the Flash during the Museum opening. In an effort to protect the Flash, Batman removed all mirrored surfaces from inside the Museum and prevent the Mirror Master from having a means of entry. However, Linda Park opened her compact mirror and allowed the villains to appear. A battle followed and the Museum was heavily damaged. The Flash was undaunted and was happy that no innocent bystanders were hurt.
