Cybertron Industries is a technology firm founded by Karl Rossum after he left the employ of Grant Walker. The headquarters is situated on the coastline near a forest, away from the urban area of Gotham City. The building is mostly automated and appears to be self-sustainable with at least wind power turbines on the rooftop. The security entrance keypad has a password of 2469. Perhaps from this initiative, Rossum's office has an elevator that runs on a separate power source. Its exact location is somewhere southeast of Wayne Manor. A Cybertron Industries Warehouse, though, can be found in Gotham. Cybertron's specialties are defense systems, laser weaponry, and robotics and they have several government contracts.
When Rossum's daughter died in a car accident, he went into semi-seclusion at the Cybertron headquarters. Distraught with sadness, he put all his energy in finding a way to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again. Around that time, one of his teams was conducting a wetware project and gave birth to H.A.R.D.A.C. (Holographic Analytical Reciprocating Digital Computer), their own form of artificial intelligence. To help him in his project, Rossum altered H.A.R.D.A.C.'s programming and gave it more free will. As time passed, Rossum gave it oversight over more Cybertron projects, including that of a duplicant processor. When Rossum saw the errors of his ways, H.A.R.D.A.C. carried on his plan, convoluted, by replacing humans in key positions of power in Gotham with duplicants. Batman investigated Cybertron after two wetware thefts at Wayne Enterprises. During the final showdown, he critically damaged H.A.R.D.A.C.'s core systems and set off a chain reactions of explosions.
The Gotham City Police Department confiscated H.A.R.D.A.C.'s remains and stored them at the Impound Yard while conducting a full investigation of the company. Everything else was locked away at the Cybertron Warehouse and the company remained in limbo. Months later, Rossum settled into a life of farming but one final duplicant activated and eventually repaired itself with operation circuitry. With H.A.R.D.A.C.'s core systems restored, the duplicant continued its creators' mad goal. However, this final duplicant, of Batman, was built to well and sacrificed itself rather than threaten Gotham City. Soon after, Rossum dissolved Cybertron and went into retirement but was consulted by Batman and Robin at least once.
