After Superman's second encounter with Bizarro, he couldn't bring himself to killing him but Bizarro couldn't stay on Earth, neither. He decided to give Bizarro a very important mission, to guard a new planet of his own. Bizarro obliged and was relocated, along with one of the zoo animals from the Fortress of Solitude. He created a mock village out of mud, rocks, and sticks then patrolled it.

Bizarro's mission was interrupted when he was visited by Mr. Mxyzptlk. Mxyzptlk told the truth to Bizarro, along with some embellishments. Luckily, the imp was reprimanded by the Zrfff High Tribunal. As punishment, he was stranded in the third dimension for one interdimensional phase without powers. If Mxyzptlk did not do a good deed in 90 days, then he would be left in the third dimension forever. Superman took him up on his offer and left him on Bizarro's World to assist Bizarro and Krypto.

Some time after, Brainiac discovered Bizarro's World and destroyed it. The data and a banner of the planet was kept in his asteroid base. It appears possible that Brainiac attempted to use Bizarro's DNA to evolve but failed and discarded the clone.
