On July 31, 1908, White Star Line ordered the construction of a new Olympic-Class passenger liner steamship to rival Cunard Line's Lusitania and Mauretania ships. Constructed at the Harland and Wolff Shipyard in Belfast, this ship was named the RMS Titanic. At the time, it was touted as the largest steamship, built by the best engineers, and made with the most advanced technology. Thus, many believed it to be unsinkable. Its astounding features included a swimming pool, gymnasium, Squash court, Turkish bath, electric bath, Verandah Cafe, first-class common rooms, libraries, barber shops, and electric elevators. A one-way Trans-Atlantic voyage cost $4,350 which is a little under $100,000 in modern times. The maiden voyage set sail from Southampton, England, bound for New York City, New York on April 10, 1912. Four days later, the Titanic struck a large iceberg and went down. Of the 2,223 people aboard, 706 survived. The majority of deaths were from hypothermia in freezing cold water.

The disaster came off as a shock and the media focused on the famous passengers and rumors surrounding the ship's demise, from a fire to a mummy's curse. After several inquiries, maritime law was changed to avoid another tragedy. In 1985, it was rediscovered and several artifacts were retrieved over the years. In the 2050's, Chronos disregarded his previous concern to avoid stealing important objects from the past. He began to steal anything he felt like, even the Titanic, and littering his city Neo Gotham with them. After a unit of Jokerz failed to kill Batman, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman, they arrived at the Titanic to report to Chronos with his wife, Enid Clinton, present. Chronos used his powers to learn that Chucko, leader of the unit, sold out the mission details to the second Batman for Credits. Chronos then stranded Chucko in the past and issued new orders to the remaining Jokerz. After Batman reset the timeline, the Titanic and other objects returned to their rightful places.
