A Silver Good Luck Fen is a rare form of Chinese square-holed coins produced in limited runs. At the time of their production, there were no specific denomination and could only identified by the name of the emperor on it. Instead, strings of coins such as 1000 were equal to 40 grams of silver. During the Qing (Manchu) Dynasty from 1644 to 1911, coins carried the name of the emperor and the Chinese and Manchu characters for tongbao, or "general currency." In modern day, the Silver Good Luck Fen is a highly valued form of currency within the magic community. In order to purchase a Chimera scale for a locator spell, Zatanna paid with a mid-Qing Dynasty Silver Good Luck Fen to which she considered overpriced. However, when the spell failed, Zatanna summoned it back into her possession.
