In the 2050's, the scimitar is the main weapon of master assassin, Curare. However, her scimitar is sharpened with lasers. As a result, it can cut through anything with deadly ease. Perhaps detailing her origins, this curved sword comes from the Middle East and Southeast Asia. They are known to exist as far back as the 9th century, when it was used by Khurasan soldiers of Persia. It became a favored weapon in horse warfare. WIth a lighter weight, the scimitar proves useful at slashing mounted warriors. Following suit, the sword can be often observed on Islamic coat of arms and generalized as a weapon of pirates. Despite Curare's mastery of the sword, Batman has often used it against her in battle.
