After the events of World War II, the Blackhawk Squadron continued to engage in many missions that displayed many aspects of fringe science. One such case was a giant robot squid possibly created and owned by the Nazi pirate named Killer Shark. After Shark was defeated, the Blackhawks confiscated the robot and reprogrammed it to serve as a perimeter defense on the shores of Blackhawk Island.
In the 21st century, Lex Luthor reprogrammed the robot squid to attack the Justice League while he and his comrades searched for the Spear of Longinus. The squid surfaced to attack Fire and drag her to the ocean depths. However, Flash intervened and created a waterspout. In a pocket of air, Fire reactivated her powers to maximum and destroyed the squid. Its remains were destroyed when the spout collided with robot sharks, a War Wheel, and a mountainside.
