The Life Equation is the very opposite of the Anti-Life Equation. In a parallel universe wrecked by the Anti-Life Entity, Darkseid reasoned the universe was built on the foundation of duality and secretly discovered the Life Equation, the very thing that could rebirth creation. However, his soul was too corrupted to activate it. Some time later, a Wonder Woman from another universe was teleported to his world. Darkseid refused to let her die "again" and unleashed his Omega Effect on the Anti-Life Entity. Wonder Woman realized the truth as it revealed its true form and countered. Darkseid's actions were futile and fatal. Wonder Woman had enough and struck her bracelets together. The shockwave dispersed the entity's fragment but she wondered if Anti-Life could truly die. The Oracle, a version of J'onn Jonzz in the universe known as Earth-X, probed the universe for a solution to end the multiversal crisis. He discovered Wonder Woman was the savior who could end the crisis. He transmitted his findings into the mind of Martian Manhunter of Earth-D. During a brief melding of minds with J'onn J'onzz, he also discovered the truth.
Amazo II had all but completed its goal and destroyed the Multiverse with Anti-Life but Green Lantern managed to form a bubble construct and saved himself, J'onn J'onzz, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Batman from being wipted out. With her permission, J'onn probed Wonder Woman's mind. He realized the parallel version of Darkseid that Wonder Woman met bequeathed her with the Life Equation and she was the key to saving the Multiverse. She admitted she felt a momentary surge of power and indefinable presence but she was lost in grief when that Darkseid passed on and ignored it. J'onn engulfed her in a telepathic wave and rooted through her psyche in search of the equation. However, Wonder Woman could not handle the celestial energies of the Life Equation and would have been torn apart if not for Batman's quick thinking and joining hands with her to share in it. They felt the pure life energy and its very essence of creation. Amazo II attempted to destroy them and Batman observed the Anti-Life draining him of his very being. Luckily, Amazo reconstituted its form and destroyed Amazo II's android body.
The Anti-Life raged and howled as it tried to reconstitute, too. Batman and Wonder Woman called forth the Life Equation and unleashed it. The Anti-Life Equation was destroyed and the Multiverse was restored to normal. The life energy that passed through Batman and Wonder Woman temporarily overwrote their personal identities. As a result, they felt wonderful and they laughed together. Amazo II reconstituted some time later but no longer contained any trace of Anti-Life.
