The Dream Machine is a mind control apparatus invented by the Mad Hatter. Designed to create an ideal world for its user, Hatter intended to use it on Batman to neutralize him after he defeated him in the Gotham Storybook Land. With Mad Hatter at the controls, a helmet is placed on the unconscious victim's head. Batman lived in a world where his parents were alive, he was engaged to Selina Kyle, and someone else was Batman. Eventually, he resisted the Dream Machine and awoke. It appears that the Gotham City Police Department confiscated it upon arresting Mad Hatter.
