Poison Ivy extracted chlorophyll enzymes from the rare subtropica brasilias tree and weaponized it. With it, she planned on getting revenge on business elites who were involved in the destruction of rainforests. Upon ingestion, the enzyme would transform the human cell membrane and turn the exoskeleton into tree bark. After months of additional spraying, the effects would be permanent and irreversible. Ivy then came up with a way to manipulate her would be victims to ingest it. Under an alias, she would invite them to the Eternal Youth Spa and pamper them with alleged rejuvenation products. She named the enzyme Demetrite, after Demeter, the Greek goddess of plants. After making the horrifying discovery, Batman went after Poison Ivy and managed to restore her victims back to normal.
