Not to be confused with the astrological and cosmological term, Dark Matter is an elemental material projected by the Bang Baby known as Nightingale. Much like a shadow or mist, this matter could be used for cover and infiltration. Ebon desired to use Dark Matter to block out the Sun and liberate all nocturnal Bang Babies. Tech then devised a way to create and spread synthetic Dark Matter, the Blackout Box. However, the Night Breed turned on Ebon and allied with Static and Gear.
