Based on the original Starman's Gravity Rod, the Cosmic Rod was constructed to empower his successors. After attuning to its wielder, the Rod gave the power of flight and the ability to absorb energy and redistribute it as blasts or solid constructs. It is currently owned by Stargirl. During Justice League Unlimited missions, the Rod does have its limitations. While it barely was able to lift a giant rampaging turtle beast, the Rod could not handle the physical resistance of a mutated General Eiling.
