In his first experiment an alternate costume, Batman created a suit of heavy armor. Besides being flame proof and resistant to explosives, the suit enhances Batman's physical strength but tends to weaken other attributes. Armed with limited gadgets, Batman took this suit and a fire retardant gun to stop Firefly from destroying Gotham City. It appears Batman improved on this design with a more powerful Batsuit decades later.
