Brin Londo was once part of a street gang on the planet Rimbor. It turned out his gang was a rival of a gang that formerly included Jo Nah (later known as Ultra Boy). Some time after Ultra Boy joined the Legion, Londo's life was in danger during a street fight. He was saved by Phantom Girl. Londo repaid her kindness by being her protector. Londo was later invited to join the Legion of Superheroes as Timber Wolf. Among Legionnaires, Timber Wolf is known for his loyalty.
