Karl Malone was born on July 24, 1963 in Summerfield, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana Tech University and entered the 1985 NBA Draft. Malone was the 13th draft pick in the first round by the Utah Jazz. Malone earned the nickname "The Mailman" for delivering consistent results and became one of the league's greatest power forward players. For his 18 seasons with the Jazz, Malone was the NBA Most Valuable Player twice, made the NBA All-Star team 13 times, made the All-NBA First Team Selection 11 times, made the All-NBA Second Team Selection twice, made the All-NBA Third Team Selection once, made the NBA All-Defensive First Team Selection three times, made the NBA All-Defensive Second Team Selection, 1986 NBA All-Rookie Team, NBA All-Star MVP twice and was nominated to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team. His partner on the court was guard John Stockton but in his personal life, he is married to Kay Kinsey and had four children together. In his final year, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers.

In his final year, Malone was also chosen to join the Hoop Squad. He accepted and became Pulverizer. Pulverizer's suit gives him the power to increase the size of his hands and discharge sonic waves.
