Hourman

Back to Heroes Main > Hourman

Real Identity: Richard "Rick" Tyler
Affiliation(s): Justice League Unlimited
Appearances: Initiation, Fearful Symmetry Dark Heart, Doomsday Sanction, Hunter's Moon, Panic in the Sky, Divided We Fall and Destroyer
Powers: Increased Human Attributes and limited Precognition

Rick Tyler, son of a retired superhero named Hourman, is best known for his headstrong personality. Originally an artist, Rick went over the wishes of his parents Rex and Wendy and took one of his father's famed Miraclo pills. The pill increases the user's human attributes for an hour, hence the namesake. Like his father, Rick became addicted to the pills and soon gave up being the second Hourman.

Rick went to work and developed a new, non-addictive Miraclo pill and became Hourman again. Along with super strength, enhanced agility and super speed, Rick also has the ability to see precognitive images an hour into the future which he calls 'flash forward vision'. Hourman was one of the legion of new recruits when the Justice League was expanded to the Justice League Unlimited.
