Arisia's father was a Green Lantern hailing from Graxos IV and monitored Space Sector 2815. He was ambushed and killed by Sinestro, one of the many to be killed by the renegade ex-Lantern. The Guardians of the Universe chose the teenage Arisia to replace her late father, making her the youngest Corps member ever. Arisia was part of the team that went to Earth to exact revenge on AMAZO when it was believed that Oa was destroyed by it.
