Rokk Krinn hails from the planet Braal. Braal has long gone through economic depression from the early days of the United Planets' formation. The depression is blamed on Braal's drawn out war with Titan. Braal's cash crop is magno-ball, a sport in which only native Braalians can play, with their natural magnetic abilities. Rokk Krinn was a teen star at the Cosmic Games and became so famous; his nickname was "Cosmic Boy". While on tour, he helped stop the assassination attempt on R.J. Brande. With Rokk Krinn's fame and personality, he was suited to become the Legion of Superheroes' first leader.
