Daniel Cassidy was movie stuntman but an encounter with a demon named Nebiros, Cassidy discovered he was permanently bonded to the costume. Despite trying to get out of the costume, Cassidy eventually resigned himself to become a super hero and called himself Blue Devil. Blue Devil learned his life was not without sacrifice and irony. His constant encounters with rogue demons led him to transform into a pure demon. With the Trident of Lucifer, Blue Devil wanders the Earth tracking demons and banishing them back to Hell but found himself joining the Justice League Unlimited.
