During Mordru's attack on Metropolis, most of the Justice League was preoccupied with stopping the evil magician. Booster Gold stumbled upon another crisis, a walking black hole. While trying to stop it, Mordru's magic was deflected by Vibe onto a building and it was animated into a towering behemoth. Before it could attack Dr. Tracy Simmons, Booster Gold attempted to defeat it with super strength and failed when the building squashed him. Dr. Brown, her associate and the walking black hole, used his newfound power on the building and pulled it into the hole. After Brown was neutralized, the building and everything else pulled in was released. With Mordru defeated at around the same time, the building was back to his inanimate form.
