In Gotham City, illegal dumping is commonplace. Sometime in the mid-21st century, toxic waste was disposed of in the city's sewer system. The sewer's colony of rats mutated into larger sizes over time and their rare contact with humans led to the creation of an urban legend about giant man-eating rats. It turned out to be true. Utterly loyal to Ratboy, the rats follow his every command, even killing.
