Ubu is the loyal servant of Ra's al Ghul. Ubu's blind obedience makes him a mostly silent accomplice in Ra's' terrorist plots. Ubu draws no opinions of his own and does only what his master bids. He has only displayed feelings of hatred for Batman, who refused Ra's' offer of succession. Ubu is no match for Batman in combat. Eventually, he developed an unsaid respect for Batman after Batman saved his life in Egypt's Canyon of the Tombs.
