A ruthless businessman and an over protective father, Simon Stagg was the owner of his own company, Stagg Enterprises. His company specialized in chemical experimentation. After he used his daughter's fiance, Rex Mason, as a guinea pig, Rex came after Simon and accidentally trapped his mind in a huge chemical rage fueled monster. After Stagg tore up half the city looking for Sapphire Rex found him. Rex then turned himself into a chemical, which neutralized Stagg and almost killed himself. It is thought that Simon is no more.
