Bito Wladon is a native of a European country named Modora. Wladon became a super villain and attempted to take over his home country. As Sonar, Wladon failed. He continued to be a super villain and incorporated his sound technology.
Sonar was charged with overseeing Roulette's Metabrawl operation. Previously, Roulette was in financial trouble and sought Lex Luthor's aid. Luthor devised a way of using Grodd's mind control technology on the Justice League's communication links. Since,Luthor skimmed from Roulette's profits, Sonar was assigned to supervise Roulette, now that her operations were racking in heavy profits again. Sonar and Roulette were defeated and arrested.
