Star Sapphire possesses a powerful Sapphire gem, which allows her to do anything she imagines, rather like the powers of Green Lantern. It was given to her by an alien race of female warriors called the Zamerons, who were adversaries to the Green Lantern Corps.
It has been suggested in the episode "Fury" that she had a split personality, like she did in the comics. This occured when she alerted Wonder Woman and then eventually double-crossed her.
