Kurt was once the United States government liason in charge of Project Firestorm. It entailed taking Claire Selton under his care and training her to be a weapon. Kurt employed manipulative tactics, and even seduced her. However, Selton walked off a mission and lived on the run. Years later, Kurt's funding was cut off and he operated alone without the government. He resolved to sell Selton to a foreign government for mutagenic research. Kurt employed fire retardant and cutting edge 640 Blue Lasers, able to burn through tempered steel. He is presumed dead after Volcana destroyed his facility.
