After the Big Bang, a homeless man gained the power to bestow abilities onto others. He chose two teenage boys and gave one the power to teleport. This one was given the codename Jump. In exchange for keeping this ability, Jump was required to steal for him. Weeks later, a third, Richie Foley, was added to Ragtag's crime ring. Jump's primary objective at thefts was to teleport in ahead and disable the security alarm system. Static eventually intervened and Jump used his ability to dodge any attack but was defeated as it turned out that Static was faster with his ability than Jump's. After losing contact with Ragtag, Jump lost his ability in prison.
