Istivan Hegedesh represents the weapons conglomerate, Force Tech. Over the years, Hegedesh has contracted some under the table deals, including those with ex-Wayne-Powers designer, Jim Tate. After Tate was laid off, he went to Hegedesh, desperate for money. Hegedesh informed Tate that Force Tech was still interested in a sonic wave device he once made. Wayne-Powers passed on the prototype. As Armory, Tate stole the needed parts and made a second gun, only to be discovered by his family and Batman. Hegedesh tried to eliminate all witnesses but was defeated and sent to jail.
