A gangmember present at Dakota City's Big Bang was deformed by the Quantum Vapor into a monstrosity but gifted with super strength. He took the name Hyde from the tale of the "Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde." He formed the Ruffpack and recruited Ferret and Kangor to join. After constant encounters with Static and foiled heists, Hyde decided to focus on discovering Static's secret identity and killing him once and for all. Utilizing Ferret's ability, Hyde came close but was defeated after Static teamed up with Shaquille O'Neal. Static magnetized several weights around Hyde and used him like a basketball. He remained in prison and was most likely cured by Dr. Todd years later.
