Keith Kenyon came into contact with chemically altered gold after discovering a sunken chest. Kenyon studied political science with a major in chemistry at the University of California-Coast City. Kenyon wanted a life other than following in the footsteps of his father, a labor union leader. The gold gave Kenyon enhanced strength, gold skin and the power to temporarily change anything into gold. He soon turned to crime as Goldface.
