The Chemist is an underworld figure in Gotham City. He is an infamous expert in the realm of acids, explosives and poisons. The Chemist also has the ability to identify chemicals used by certain corporations such as Axis, Phoenix or Daggett. For that reason, the Chemist was approached by Catwoman at the Stacked Deck club when she was framed for a theft. The Chemist recognized Daggett's trademark chemical residue and attempted to flee the scene. A barfight followed and the police arrived.
