Carter Hall, archaeologist, had a dream that he was the reincarnation of an Egyptian prince named Khufu. Khufu's lover was Princess Chay-Ara. The next day, Hall encounters Shiera Sanders. The two quickly fall in love and Sanders becomes his confidante.
Eventually, Hall crafts a second set of Nth metal wings and gives them to Sanders. She becomes Hawkgirl and later joins the Justice League of America.
