Dr. Quinzel was once a psychiatrist working at Gotham City's notorious Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane. She took on the impossible task of analyzing the Joker. The Joker won her over with stories about his abusive childhood. Adopting the identity of Harley Quinn, she broke Joker out of Arkham and became his sidekick.
