Steve Trevor is a decorated pilot with the United States Air Force. He was assigned to serve as a liaison between the government and Wonder Woman, a political envoy from Paradise Island. Trevor harbored feelings for Wonder Woman but later realized she and Superman developed a romantic relationship while seeing them interact at the U.S. Capitol building ceremony honoring the heroes who saved Earth.
Colonel Trevor was assigned to serve as government liaison to the Super Seven. The week after changing the team name to Justice League, Trevor found Cyborg in the team headquarters at S.T.A.R. Labs Metropolis and gave him an assignment to retrieve missiles from the downed S.S. California for the U.S. Navy. Trevor suggested calling in the Justice League but Cyborg saw no need to escalate things until more intelligence was gathered. Trevor deferred to Cyborg and asked to be kept in the loop. When Cyborg informed Trevor the Justice League only existed in name, he didn't respond and left. After Superman was possessed by one of Trigon's Corruptors, Batman alerted Trevor in hopes of military satellites being dedicated to tracking his movement.
