Intergang, led by Bruno Mannheim, attacked City Hall and kidnapped the Mayor and his wife. They demanded an exchange for comrades in prison. Perry White dispatched Jimmy Olsen to take photographs and gather information. Olsen took the subway and got to the plaza in time to take photos of Superman taking out Intergang. He was about to approach Detective Sawyer and Lieutenant Turpin for comment but civilians gathered around him and Bibbo Bibbowski called out to Superman. Bibbo asked Superman for a photo together. Olsen took his chance and hopped the police barrier to offer to take a photo for him. Bibbo told him to stop by his Ace O'Clubs with the photo for some free ribs. Olsen then took photos as Superman conferred with the Flash and Cyborg on Intergang's Apokoliptian tech. Olsen tried talking to Turpin and Sawyer but didn't get much else.
