The Infernal Shrine is an ancient shrine built by Satanists and embued with magical properties. At some point, it became buried. Once a Corruptor took control of Superman, he flew from Metropolis to the Middle East. He stopped at a section of desert 60 miles north of Kahndaq City and excavated the Infernal Shrine. The remaining three Corruptors possessed Batman, the Flash, and Wonder Woman at the Titans Tower. The possessed Wonder Woman informed Raven the shrine was unearthed. The possessed Flash revealed Raven was the shrine's final piece. They threatend to kill the Titans but Raven surrendered. She generated a portal to the shrine and left with the Corruptors. Raven powered the conduit. After 24 hours, a portal opened in the gateway and Trigon emerged from it.
