Season One
Perry White is the editor-in-chief of the Metropolis-based newspaper company, the Daily Planet. He became impatient with the lack of progress and rule breaking of one particular intern named Lois Lane and assigned her to mentor two new interns, Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen. They returned with a story and blurry photos pertaining to killer robots and a hero named "Superman." White gave them a shot and promised to publish their story if they could get better photos and an interview with Superman. They succedded. White stopped the presses and published it but the byline was given to reporters Steve Lombard, Cat Grant, and Ronnie Troupe. Lane, Olsen, and Kent later learned White was a former classmate of Vicki Vale when the two were in college and he was always number two to her. Following the second Parasite incident, White made Lane, Kent, and Olsen fully fledged reporters and bought the Flamebird social media platform through the Planet, making Olsen a multi-millionaire.
Season Three
Cat Grant "begged" Perry White to assign Lois Lane to write a piece on the Superfest convention at the Metropolis Convention Center. He relented. He later assigned Jimmy Olsen to investigate "The Distortionist," a mysterious person mutating people with genetic manipulation. On November 15th, at 11:15 am, White sent a text to Lois Lane reminding her she owed him a story. Later that day, Lane dialed White's number and pretended she had to go to work. Perry White attended the gala for Metropolis' tenth annual The Curt Swan Awards For Humanitarian Excellence. He left the Newskid Legion in the care of Jimmy Olsen. White got turned into a bear by Dr. Poison's gas.
