Hart Druiter was born on Myar with the power to neutralize other people's super powers. He downplayed it and applied for the Science Police. Druiter was soon highly regarded and assigned to a special unit that focused on capturing Grimbor.
Dissatisfied with the rules and regulations of the Science Police, he applied for the Legion of Superheroes as Nemesis Kid. His familiarity with Grimbor also convinced the Legion to accept him. During a second robbery, Grimbor planted Xanithium residue on Nemesis Kid to lure the Legion to a trap. He was also inspired by Nemesis Kid to develop a gun that could also neutralize powers. After Karate Kid beat Grimbor, he won the respect of Nemesis Kid.
