Legion of Superheroes Season Two News

  • February 08, 2007: Superman returns to the 31st Century with more honed skills, Darkseid, new members and a powerful new ally. CC Article
  • February 12, 2007: J M DeMatteis wrote an episode centered on Timber Wolf. It turned out to be a "pretty intense" one. The second season will see a "shift in focus." Instead of Darkseid, the feature villain will be Imperiex. The Fatal Five will return. CC Article
  • February 21, 2007: Lightning Lad will return and Chameleon Boy will debut. CC Article
  • February 28, 2007: At least two different versions of Superman will appear. Duo Damsel and Triplicate Girl will appear.CC Article
  • March 07, 2007: J M DeMatteis wrote two scripts so far, one centered on Timber Wolf and one on Chameleon Boy. Other characters set to appear early next season are Matter Eater Lad, Ron Karr, Tyr, Mano, Esper, Emerald Empress and the Persuader. CC Article
  • June 29, 2007: The season premiere will be a two parter. CC Article
  • July 21, 2007: First looks at new designs for season two, the Legion will meet a Superman clone made to fight from the 41st Century, Imperiex is a 41st Century techno-barbarian, there will be an interesting dynamic between the new Superman and Brainiac 5 and there will be a panel at Comic Con on July 27 featuring Yuri Lowenthal, Alex Polinsky, Phil Morris, James Tucker, Brandon Vietti and Michael Jelenic.   • July 26, 2007: Phil Morris will voice Imperiex. Kari Wahlgren will voice Duo Damsel instead of Triplicate Girl, something happens to her early on in season two. Alex Polinsky will voice Chameleon Boy. San Diego Comic Con goers can get their hands on a card with season two art on it. CC Article
  • July 28, 2007: Season Two will be like "The Bronze Age" (Season One was Silver Age) with characters now 17-18 years old. The Fatal Five and Legion of Supervillains will appear. The Superman clone will appear pretty harsh and vengeful at times. Dawnstar and Karate Kid will appear. TZ Article
  • July 30, 2007: "He [Chameleon Boy] because his dad kind of funds the Legion," said James Tucker. Dream Girl gets an episode. The Substitute Heroes will cameo. Invisible Kid will appear. Expect new looks. In one episode, there will be three Supermen. Other villains slated to appear, Grimbor, the Dark Circle and Computo. Season airs September 22. Legion Clubhouse
  • August 31, 2007: The two part season premiere is titled "The Man from the Edge of Tomorrow." Part One airs on September 22 at its new 11 am slot and is written by Michael Jelenic and directed by Brandon Vietti. Part Two, written by Greg Weisman and directed by Scott Jeralds, is slated for the 29th. CC News
  • September 03, 2007: Expect to see more new members this season. "Everyone that's been in the Legion practically is going to appear, except for a few we are saving," producer James Tucker said. A previously unmentioned character appearing is Nemesis Kid. CC News
  • September 15, 2007: In the season opener, Imperiex will destroy Legion headquarters and free the Legion's enemies, creating an army of supervillains. The Legion will discover old and lost relatives. CC News
  • June 17, 2020: A complete Blu-ray set collecting both seasons and a season 2 DVD releases on July 14 from Warner Archive. The Blu-ray set will be in full 16×9 widescreen and have three discs. Blu-ray bonus features are a featurette We Are Legion" and an Exclusive Audio Commentary on the series' two-part finale, "Dark Victory, Parts One and Two," with producer James Tucker, director Brandon Vietti and the voice of Saturn Girl, Kari Wahlgren.   • August 14, 2020: There will be a 30 minute Legion of Super-Heroes panel at DC FanDome in Watchverse on August 22 at 7:45 pm Pacific. TV Line Article
