Alfred Pennyworth is the loyal Wayne family butler and helped raise Bruce Wayne in his childhood. After Batman returned to the Batcave from a visit to Arkham Asylum, he pondered what the Joker's next move was. Pennyworth arrived with a refreshment and asked if he could be of further assistance. Batman remarked it was almost impossible to figure out the Joker's intentions. Pennyworth found that comforting and took Batman's cape off. Batman admitted after all these years, he didn't know who the Joker was any more than he knew who he was. Pennyworth warned him not to underestimate the Joker and he couldn't save everyone. Batman stated he drives him yet wondered how two people who hate so much without knowing each other.
