Sal Maroni is a major crime boss in Gotham City. In search of the Joker, Batman forced his way into Maroni's club by blowing up the door and beating up his men. Maroni wasn't impressed and asked if he was done yet. Batman showed him Joker's wanted poster. Maroni admitted he read he got out of Arkham Asylum but had no idea where he was or what he had planned. He stated he would tell Batman if he knew anything because people in his line of work, criminals, were scared of Batman but they were terrified of the Joker.
